Nowadays, it is nothing unusual to get to know yours significant other through social media, mostly dating apps. Especially during the Covid pandemic that had made the face to face meeting almost impossible.
According to recent surveys, a large number of people who meet have had a bad experience or even been scammed. Some of them are even putting their lives in danger for these meet-ups. As a result, you should know how to stay safe when meeting people online.

- Tell a friend where you’re going
- Meet in public
- Share location with your friend
- Don’t leave food and drinks unattended
- Don’t rely on your date for transportation
- Trust your instincts
- Always ensure your protection

I must admit, I’ve never been a fan of online dating mainly because of the danger it brings but these tips seem they could help to keep you safe while online dating! As a girl, I also find it really sad that I often see these tips on social media shared by women to warn other girls since they are more likely to be in danger when meeting with someone they got to know online.
